Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Glowpixel Labs. By visiting the website, using any of our tools, or accessing any materials provided here, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms. If you do not agree to these terms in their entirety, you should not access or use the website.
Glowpixel Labs is a set of free image tools that run in the browser. The site is provided in English only, and all tools, documentation, and support communications are maintained exclusively in English.
Description of the Service
Glowpixel Labs provides web-based utilities for editing, transforming, and converting image files directly inside your browser. The service is built with a client-side architecture: images are processed on the device and never uploaded to our servers or any cloud storage systems.
Because operations take place on your local hardware, the site requires no accounts and does not maintain registration systems, passwords, or profile records. The site runs no analytics to monitor user actions. The site sets no cookies itself; localStorage keeps the theme and the cookie choice across page views.
Hosting is provided through GitHub Pages behind Cloudflare, which see IP addresses and request metadata in standard server logs during normal web traffic routing and security filtering. A deployment may enable Google AdSense; its script loads only after the visitor accepts advertising, and ad providers may then use cookies and similar technology under their own policies. Background removal, upscaling, and OCR download required model, runtime, or selected language files on first use and cache them in the browser. These asset requests contain no image bytes or extracted text, and processing remains on your device.
Acceptable Use
We offer these tools to help individuals, creators, and professionals complete visual tasks freely and efficiently. In return, you agree to use the service in accordance with standard rules of conduct:
Permitted Uses
You may use Glowpixel Labs for personal, educational, non-profit, or commercial projects. You may process multiple files, use tools for professional client work, and export modified images without paying license fees or tool usage fees.
Prohibited Activities
When using Glowpixel Labs, you agree not to:
- Attempt to disrupt, compromise, or impair the stability, security, or availability of the website, its hosting servers, or connected network infrastructure.
- Interfere with or bypass technical controls, security measures, or cookie consent banners.
- Use automated bots, scrapers, crawlers, or script floods designed to overwhelm GitHub Pages or Cloudflare infrastructure with excessive requests.
- Attempt to decompile, reverse-engineer, or tamper with the underlying client-side source code beyond what standard browser inspection tools normally permit.
- Use the website or its tools to process, generate, or distribute any image content that violates applicable laws or regulations.
- Use the tools to infringe upon the intellectual property rights, trademarks, copyrights, privacy rights, or publicity rights of any third party.
We reserve the right to block network access or limit access from addresses or networks that violate these acceptable use requirements or attempt abusive traffic patterns.
Your Content Stays Yours
We believe your creative work and personal files belong to you. Our architecture reflects that commitment:
Ownership and Intellectual Property
Glowpixel Labs claims no ownership, copyright, title, or proprietary interest in any image, graphic, photograph, or file that you process, transform, or export through the website. All intellectual property rights in your original content, modified files, and exported outputs remain entirely with you or the rightful copyright owners.
No Storage or File Retention
Because images are processed on the device and never uploaded, we never possess, view, transmit, store, or archive your files. No copies of your images exist on our servers or on Cloudflare or GitHub Pages hosting systems. All files exist only in your browser memory and on your device storage.
User Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the images and materials you load into the tools. You represent that you possess all necessary rights, permissions, and licenses to manipulate, convert, and export any files you process using Glowpixel Labs.
No Warranty (‘As Is’)
Glowpixel Labs is provided strictly on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.
To the fullest extent permissible under applicable law, Glowpixel Labs expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:
- Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, quiet enjoyment, and non-infringement.
- Any warranty that the website or its tools will meet your specific business, artistic, or technical requirements.
- Any warranty that tool operations will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or free of software bugs, calculation errors, or rendering artifacts.
- Any warranty regarding the precision, quality, or fidelity of file conversions, color balance, compression ratios, or metadata modifications.
- Any warranty that the site will remain compatible with every browser version, hardware configuration, or operating system.
Because browser environments and device capabilities vary widely, results may differ based on your device memory, graphics acceleration, and browser implementation. You acknowledge that you bear all responsibility for evaluating the accuracy, completeness, and utility of any processed output before relying on it for critical projects. You should always maintain original backup copies of your images before using any editing or conversion tool.
Limitation of Liability in Plain Words
In plain words: Glowpixel Labs is a free suite of tools that runs directly inside your own web browser on your own hardware. We do not charge fees, we do not store your files, and we do not manage your data on remote servers. As a result, you assume all risk associated with using the tools.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Glowpixel Labs and its operators shall not be liable to you or any third party for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages arising out of or related to your access to, use of, or inability to use the website or its tools.
This limitation covers, without limitation:
- Loss of data, corrupted image files, or unintended loss of image metadata.
- Lost revenue, lost profits, loss of business reputation, or work interruptions.
- System errors, device crashes, memory exhaustion, or hardware issues occurring during browser processing.
- Costs incurred to replace or recover lost files or recreate creative assets.
Even if we have been informed of the possibility of such damages, our total aggregate liability for any claims arising under or related to these terms or the use of Glowpixel Labs shall be zero, reflecting the free and client-side nature of the service. If you are dissatisfied with any tool, feature, or condition, your sole and exclusive remedy is to stop using the site.
Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms of Service periodically to reflect updates to our tools, technological changes, or modifications to model delivery, OCR assets, or advertising operations.
When modifications are made, the revised terms will be published directly on this page with the updated date clearly shown at the top of the page. Your continued use of the website following the publication of revised terms constitutes your agreement to the updated terms. If you do not agree to the revised terms, you must discontinue using Glowpixel Labs.
Contact
If you have questions regarding these Terms of Service, please reach out to us by email at hello@glowpixellabs.com. This is a direct mailto link; the site does not operate a web contact form. Because the site is English only, all inquiries must be written in English. Please note that because images are processed on your device and never uploaded, you should never send or attach image files in your correspondence.
